Fees and engagement

The scope of work is the starting point for an IESG service arrangement. Before you accept a chargeable engagement, we set out the activities, outputs, responsibilities and basis of the fee.

Establish the work to be commissioned

The initial discussion establishes your institution, intended activity, available information and material constraints. We then identify any clarification needed to prepare a proposal.

The engagement records the work accepted and identifies decisions that remain with your institution, its partners or an external authority.

How a quotation is structured

A quotation may use a fixed project fee, an agreed period of support or another basis appropriate to the work. The applicable proposal identifies the basis used and the outputs or activities to which it relates.

The quotation states the currency, applicable tax treatment, invoicing arrangements and payment terms. For staged work, it connects the invoice schedule to the relevant activities or outputs.

No price, discount or payment schedule should be inferred from a general service description on this website.

Contracting and payment responsibility

An IESG engagement identifies the company providing the service and the institution commissioning it. Payment instructions should correspond to the accepted commercial documentation. If instructions differ from an earlier agreement, confirm the change through a known company channel before acting.

Fees for another provider follow the agreement with that provider. The relevant agreement identifies who invoices and who accepts delivery responsibility.

Taxes and independent costs

Travel, venue, translation, specialist advice or another external service may be relevant to an engagement. The proposal states which items are included, require separate authorisation or will be contracted directly by the institution.

Estimates and fixed charges are identified in the proposal. Material external costs have an agreed payer and approval route before they are incurred.

Additional work and changes

New activities, additional sites, scope changes or substantial additional information can alter the work required. We agree the revised activities, outputs and any effect on fees or timing with the institution before additional work proceeds.

A request for clarification within the agreed review process is addressed according to that engagement. It should not be confused with commissioning a different service or extending the project to another institution.

Cancellation and ending an engagement

The applicable agreement determines notice, treatment of completed work, committed external costs and any return of fees. Read those provisions before accepting the engagement and raise any uncertainty before work starts.

Ending a consulting arrangement does not itself determine a platform membership or an independent organisation's decision. Those matters remain subject to their own rules.

EducationB2B fees

EducationB2B publishes its own membership and application information. Use the platform's current pages to understand charges, review arrangements and terms for participation. An IESG institutional-services quotation does not replace those rules.

ICEQC support arrangements

The distinction between official certification activities, basic support arrangements and optional IESG services is explained on the dedicated page. Read that information before agreeing an ICEQC-related support engagement.

Request a proposal

Describe the intended work and the outcome your institution needs. Include any fixed dates and whether the proposal must meet a procurement process. We will use the information to establish an appropriate scope for discussion.
