Purpose and approach

Our purpose is to help education organisations make informed decisions and carry out international work. We bring together the objectives, evidence and responsibilities needed to manage a relationship or deliver an agreed activity.

The institutional questions we address

An opportunity can appear attractive while important questions remain unanswered. A prospective partner's role may be unclear. A programme may be described differently by different organisations. Evidence may exist across several teams without a reliable account of its ownership or current status.

We help institutions organise these questions into work that can be assigned, documented and reviewed. The starting point may be a partnership brief, a market decision, a quality-improvement priority or preparation for an ICEQC application.

Principles expressed through the work

Understand the activity before selecting the process

We establish the organisation responsible, the provision concerned and the people affected. We then match the method to the activity and its risks, whether the work concerns a small language provider or a school organisation operating across several sites.

Keep the source visible

Our research and working records identify the source, date and scope of material information. Facts, interpretation and unresolved questions remain distinct, allowing the institution to check the basis of a finding or recommendation.

Make responsibility usable

The working plan names the contact responsible for each task, the decision required and the route for escalation. It also identifies decisions reserved to institutional leadership or an external authority.

Protect the institution's ability to decide

We explain the basis of recommendations and the alternatives considered. The engagement identifies any need for specialist advice or an external determination. Management, academic and commercial decisions remain with the institution and the bodies authorised to make them.

Define the scope before the work begins

A written scope connects the objective with the activities and outputs. It identifies the institution's inputs, the agreed communication arrangements, any third-party involvement and the circumstances in which the work needs to be reconsidered.

Each output states its purpose and scope. A preliminary market note or partner-information review supports an institutional decision; it is presented with its sources and limitations, separately from any formal determination made by another body.

Keep a record that can support the next decision

We produce the records agreed for the engagement, including briefs, evidence indexes, request schedules, action records and project summaries. Each records what has been established, the work outstanding and who is responsible for the next step.

We build on existing institutional records and add documentation where it resolves an information gap or improves the management of the work.

Review what has changed

At review, we compare the outputs with the agreed requirement and record completed work, unresolved dependencies and any recommendation for a separate next stage.

For continuing support, we agree the events that trigger another review, such as a material change in provision, an updated source, a new partner role or a change in scope.
